Chipotle Creation Shrimp Taco


  • Slaw
  • 1 c. shredded green cabbage 
  • 1/4 c. cilantro 
  • 1/4 white onion, thinly sliced 
  • Juice of 1 lime 
  • Zest of 1 lime 
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil 
  • Pinch Sea Salt
  • 1/4 c. Cotija Cheese


  • Sauce
  • In a bowl whisk together sour cream and heavy cream.
  • Whisk in the Been Riding Armadillos Chipotle Creation seasoning, salt and the lime juice until combined.
  • Flavor Tip: Slowly add the Been Riding Armadillos Chipotle Creation seasoning and taste periodically to get your perfect level of heat and flavor.
  • Cover the bowl, and allow it to sit at room temperature for a minimum of 2 hours to thicken.
  • Slaw
  • In a large bowl add all slaw ingredients tossing gently to combine.
  • Shrimp & Shells
  • Stir Been Riding Armadillos Chipotle Creation, salt and honey in a medium bowl until combined. Add 1 lb. shrimp and toss until shrimp is evenly coated.
  • Pour oil into a skillet over medium-high heat Once oil begins to shimmer, add shrimp cook, stirring occasionally, until shrimps turn pink and cooked through, 1–2 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • Lightly toast tortillas over open flame or in a dry skillet. 
  • Putting It All Together
  • In each tortilla add a layer of slaw, then shrimp and top with sauce.
