Coffee and Chile Dry Rub with Stumptown Hair Bender Salt

MO Egg Bacon Breakfast Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup finely ground dark-roast coffee
  • 1/4 cup chile powder
  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Infused Hair Bender Salt
  • 1 teaspoon cracked Tellicherry Peppercorn
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons mustard powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground coriander

Directions

  • Mix all the ingredients thoroughly in a small bowl, being sure to break up the dark brown clumps.
  • Liberally sprinkle a thin layer of the rub onto each side of the steak. Let it rub sit for about 2 hours or overnight before cooking with preferred method
  • Store leftover rub in an airtight container. Adapted from from the New York Times
